Find Your Best Jeans!
Many people may find it challenging to find the perfect pair or jeans let alone figure out how to wear them and what type of shoe to pair them with. To find the pair of jeans that will suit you best, read on and you’ll learn about a few different styles of jeans and discover what type of shoes flatter each fit to make you look your absolute best!
Skinny Jeans
Generally, the skinny jean is very flattering although some people do have trouble with the proportions of this jean. The key to wearing the skinny jean properly is making sure that there is no excess fabric bunched up at your ankle. By making sure there is no excess fabric bunched up at your ankles this will create a clean line and make you appear taller.
When it comes to pairing shoes with the skinny jean, anything really works! A high heel will make you appear extra tall, but a simple flat looks great too. Also, skinny jeans are ideal for pairing with boots since you don’t have to worry about tucking lots of excess fabric in.
Boot-Cut Jeans
The boot-cut jean seems to be flattering on pretty much every body shape. The slight flare at the bottom helps balance out any curves at the top, make sure their isn’t any extra fabric at the bottom or else this can have the opposite effect.
Pair boot-cut jeans with preferably either heels or boots. Avoid boots that have to go over the pant leg though, since the fabric will bunch up too much on your calves.
Straight-Leg Jeans
The straight-leg jean tends to look good on pretty much everyone. The straight-leg gives the jeans a clean and sophisticated look, but if you’re looking for something different, look for a distressed pair to give them a more casual vibe.
When looking for shoes to wear with the straight-leg jean, try to stick with a heel or a flat since they aren’t wide enough to go over a boot or skinny enough to go inside of one.
Flare Jeans
The flare jean looks best when they are worn really long with a shoe that flatters them perfectly. Once again, you don’t want these jeans to be too long, but you also don’t want them to be too short or they’ll come off looking like flood pants. Flare jeans should be long enough that they just barely touch the ground. Flare jeans are a great option if your legs are shorter since they will appear longer because of all the fabric.
Pair flare jeans with anything with a really high heel; whether it be a wedge, a platform shoe, or a heeled boot.
Boyfriend Jeans
The boyfriend jean is probably one of the most comfortable styles of jean since they are super baggy and loose fitting. However, these jeans can be very flatter too if they are worn properly. These jeans need to be worn in proportion to keep you from looking sloppy, so pair them with a fitted top rather than a loose baggy one.
When it comes to pairing shoes with the boyfriend jean, typically a sandal or ballet flat looks best. If you’re looking to dress up these jeans though, heels are a great option and the extra height helps make the jeans look less baggy.
*Remember, the darker the jean the more slimming it will be!
