About The President
Maria Nassiokas is a dynamic young entrepreneur with a passion for fashion and business. She holds an Honours Commerce degree and a Fashion Merchandising diploma, and has over five years of international fashion experience.
After building a strong foundation in the fashion industry, Maria decided to pursue an entrepreneurial path. She wanted to do something that would allow her to fulfill her dreams, so she opened LUX Butik, a fun and trendy clothing boutique. This led to Maria receiving the Outstanding Business Achievement Award for the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce, 2009 Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Always looking for new challenges, Maria soon realized that running a successful business was only the beginning. Maria turned her attention to the needs of busy young professional women and their desire for fast, convenient online shopping. She created an interactive online shopping experience, giving customers the opportunity to be part of LUX culture.
Maria gives back by volunteering with several charitable organizations. She also helps enrich the education of high school students by presenting herself and her business to a high school careers class and offering co-op placements at her boutique.
